Jockstrap’s Taylor Skye airs new track ‘Take A Walk’

After announcing details of his solo project last month, Jockstrap’s Taylor Skye has today shared another taster of forthcoming EP ‘Kode Fine & Sons’.

‘Take A Walk’ follows ‘Kode Fine’, and both come ahead of a couple of London dates - supporting Mellah on 15th April at Moth Club, and with WH Lung at Oslo on 18th May.

“I remember this song started on the piano…” explains Taylor. “then came the chopped vocal samples… then the chords and backing… then the saxophones. It kind of built itself. It didn’t feel like I was making the decisions, instead I was just there, following something I could vaguely see in the distance.”

Of the accompanying video he adds: “At the time I was into putting my songs over scenes from movies so that they soundtracked them. As soon as I finished this song I had images of gun tutorials and deer hunting but I couldn’t find any movies that had that, so I made the video myself.”
