Joey Bada$$ arrested after allegedly assaulting security guard
Incident took place at Byron Bay’s Falls Festival.
US rapper Joey Bada$$ has been arrested and charged with assault, after allegedly assaulting a security guard at Australia’s Falls Festival, Byron Bay.
As reported by the Sydney Morning Herald, the incident is said to have taken place around 8.30pm when Bada$$ was due to take to the stage.
A police spokeswoman told the publication: “A 20-year-old man was allegedly punched in the face by a man while working as a security guard at the festival. The man was treated for a broken nose and other facial injuries.”
Bada$$ was refused bail and appeared at Lismore Bail Court last Saturday, 3rd January. He’ll take to a hearing at Byron Bay Local Court on 19th March 2015.
His debut album, ‘B4.DA.$$’ is due out 20th January.
