Kae Tempest drops new single ‘Statue In The Square’

Poet, producer, playwright, and author Kae Tempest has returned with ‘Statue In The Square’ - a striking, raw new track that saw them team up with producer Fraser T Smith (Stormzy, Adele, Dave) in the studio, and which is our first taste of a new album due to arrive later this year. 

“There is power in showing up for yourself and showing up for your people,” Kae has said of the single. “I hope this song powers you up. I hope it moves you. Take courage my friends we got this.”

‘Statue In The Square’ acts as a follow up to Kae’s 2022 LP ‘The Line Is A Curve’, and has also landed accompanied by an arresting visualiser featuring multiple LGBTQ+ icons, including Princess Julia, Joelle Taylor, Sweatmother, Debbie Smith and Dr Ronx - check it out below.
