Listen Karen O and Danger Mouse to release collaborative album, share track ‘Lux Prima’

It’ll be a low-key 12” in indie record shops.
Karen O and Danger Mouse have revealed they’ll be releasing a collaborative album next month - and shared a track from it.
The record will be made available at “select independent record stores” (that’s record shops to us Brits, ahem) on 14th December.
“After making music for the past twenty years and embarking on making this record with Danger Mouse I knew a couple things,” said the Yeah Yeah Yeahs frontwoman in a statement. “One was that the spirit of collaboration between us was going to be going to be a pure one, and two was that the more I live the less is clear to me. When you create from a blurry place you can go places further than you’ve ever been. I think we both were excited to go far out.”
The pair have also shared a track from the record, ‘Lux Prima’. Of the song, Danger Mouse says: “With ‘Lux Prima,’ we were really looking for a place rather than a sound. It was our first shared destination so we thought we’d take our time getting there. The song itself is a bit of a journey, but all the parts felt like they needed each other.”
Karen appeared on Daniele Luppi and Parquet Courts’ ‘Milano’ last year, which was released on Danger Mouse’s 30th Century label.
