Song for the ages
Kate Tempest shares protest song, ‘Europe Is Lost’
Track laments on immigration, apathy and pig-fucking. Blimey.

Kate Tempest has unveiled a drastically brave, in-your-face new track called ‘Europe Is Lost’.
A protest song in every form, the track was initially meant to come out in 2016, but Tempest and producer Dan Carey decided to strike while the iron’s hot.
Above a jerky, ice-cold and industrial loop, Tempest delivers some of her finest lyrics to date. She captures the bizarre contradiction striking this continent - the juxtaposition between witnessing massacres on these shores, before promptly forgetting fear with a screen-glued scroll.
There’s also a brilliant line about David Cameron fucking a pig. It really doesn’t put a foot wrong.
