Big plans
Kendrick Lamar is still in the studio, “hoping” to have his new album out in 2014
The rapper’s head-turning ‘i’ single came out earlier this week.
On the same week as releasing his new ‘i’ single, Kendrick Lamar has confirmed that he’s still in the studio working on the follow-up to 2012 LP ‘good kid, m.A.A.d city’.
Speaking to Carson Daly on 97.1 AMP Radio, he said he’s doing everything to get the record out in 2014.
“I’m hopping to push it out before 2015,” he confirmed. “I’m gonna say that. I’m working hard in the studio.”
Meanwhile, Kendrick continued his string of radio appearances by performing a six minute freestyle on Big Boy’s Neighbourhood show, on Power 106.
In the same session, he spoke at length about the album, claiming that he has thirty songs to choose from for the new hour but that only seven of these are making the cut.
