Kendrick Lamar performed on a moving truck in LA yesterday
Impromptu show took place in conjunction with Reebok, on Sunset Strip.
Kendrick Lamar surprised LA last night, performing a concert on a moving truck around Sunset Strip.
HipHopDX report that the rapper sent an invitation to fans via Twitter, and was greeted by fans on West Hollywood’s famous street, aided by a police escort. Reporters from the website said:
“An 18 wheeler with a flat bed filled of musicians moved in amongst the crowd. It lit up to reveal Kendrick Lamar with a live band, first starting out by playing ‘Money Trees’ and then moving into other songs from good kid, m.A.A.d city.”
The surprise concert follows the release of ‘To Pimp A Butterfly’, Lamar’s latest album released via Interscope Records last week. Watch footage of the event via HipHopDx below.
