King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard share third single ‘Grow Wings and Fly’ ahead of 27th record 

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard have shared ‘Grow Wings and Fly’, the latest single to be lifted from their forthcoming album ‘Phantom Island’. The new record will be the band’s 27th album to date, and is due to be released via their own label p(doom) records on 13th June. 

The new single follows the band’s previously released album previews, ‘Phantom Island’ and ‘Deadstick’.  ‘Grow Wings and Fly’ comes alongside a video which features a shell-dressed Ambrose Kenny-Smith being carried back into the water from where he came. 

“There are so many strange and beautiful ways to grow wings and fly,” said video director Hayden Somerville. “We had a very special time down the coast with the band and our crew, releasing our sea creature - who somehow makes me feel a little ill and completely full of joy at the same time.”

The forthcoming record will be the band’s second release on their own label, p(doom) records. The band will be taking the new album on tour this summer, doing a run of dates in the UK and Europe including shows in Lisbon, Manchester and London. The gigs will vary between ‘rave sets’ and sessions with full orchestras!
