King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard to bring rave and orchestral sets to 2025 UK/EU live shows

The Aussie band’s Autumn tour will see them swap between two very different styles of show.

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard have announced details of a Rave/Orchestra UK and European tour - a run of dates that will see them flit between synth-heavy, electronic-influenced sets, and conductor-led, orchestral performances.

We’ve come to expect the unexpected from rock’s most prolific band, and these latest plans are no exception: while the Autumn tour’s rave sets will be centred around 2023’s ‘The Silver Cord’, the remainder will see King Gizz play cuts from their forthcoming album ‘Phantom Island’ (as well as selected tracks from their extensive back catalogue), all accompanied by some of Europe’s most acclaimed orchestras and sinfonias.

Tickets for the Rave/Orchestra 2025 UK/EU tour will go on general sale at 10am on 4th April; in the meantime, you can check out our King Gizz-covering 2023 print mag here, and revisit our cover feature with the band below.
