King Krule reveals he wrote music for Frank Ocean
“I don’t think he liked it,” Archy Marshall revealed in a preview of a new interview with Pitchfork.

King Krule is everyone’s favourite artist it seems, and in a preview of a new interview with Pitchfork, Archy Marshall has revealed that he wrote music for none other than Frank Ocean.
It didn’t turn out as expected though, with Marshall revealing that he thinks Ocean didn’t like what he came up with. Uh oh.
“Frank was at my house, yeah,” he said. “His work rate’s crazy; he creates album after album. I don’t know what goes through his head. He’s a different kind of cat. He came down and he wanted me to do something for his record, but I don’t think he liked it.”
He’s also confirmed that he produced Earl Sweatshirt track ‘Death Whistles’ under his Edgar The Beatmaker moniker. “[Earl] lived in my house [in London] for four weeks…” he says. “It was probably like 5 in the morning. And we made this beat, [which] basically came out of the fact that he was like, ‘This beat’s trash.’ And he slowed it down, super. And he was like, ‘This is some good shit.’ [laughs] I was like, ‘Aight.’”
King Krule has also recently been sending fans mysterious postcards, hinting at new music. Read the full interview excerpt here.
