Kings of Leon cover…erm, Selena Gomez in the Live Lounge
‘Hands to Myself’ has never sounded this dramatic…
Well, this is a bit of a new one. Kings of Leon stopped by the BBC Radio1 Live Lounge yesterday, and took part in the tradition of covering another artist’s song. Their choice? Erm, Selena Gomez.
Swelling with all the melodrama you’d expect from the stadium-rockers, Caleb Followill belts out a melancholy ‘Hands to Myself,’ with the emotion of a fraught man who’s unable to stop playing tag everywhere he goes. He’s backed up by teary-eyed wafts of guitar, and morosely pounding drums. It’s everything you’d expect from Kings of Leon, tbh.
The band released their new album ‘WALL’ earlier this month, and head out for an arena tour in February 2017.
