Lana Del Rey shares new ‘Ultraviolence’ title-track
New track premiered on Zane Lowe as a Hottest Record - ‘Ultraviolence’ is out this June.
Lana Del Rey’s ‘Ultraviolence’ album is shaping up, with the record’s title-track having just been unveiled.
The most anthemic cut from the record to be shared so far, ‘Ultraviolence’ links up with the Dan Auerbach-produced ‘West Coast’, plus the more recent, operatic ‘Shades of Cool’.
‘Ultraviolence’ gained its first play as a Hottest Record on Zane Lowe’s evening Radio 1 show.
The record itself was mostly written in Santa Monica and produced by Auerbach. The Black Keys frontman recently said of the collaboration that “we bumped heads a little bit, but at the end of the day we were dancing to the songs. She impressed me every day. There were moments when she was fighting me. I could sense that maybe she didn’t want to have anybody think she wasn’t in control because I’m sure it’s really hard to be a woman in the music business.”
Listen to ‘Ultraviolence’ below.
‘Ultraviolence’ tracklist:
01 Cruel World
02 Ultraviolence
03 Shades of Cool

05 West Coast

07 Pretty When You Cry

09 Fucked My Way Up to the Top

11 The Other Woman
‘Ultraviolence’ is out via Polydor on 16th June.
