Lana Del Rey unveils new video for ‘Ultraviolence’
Hazy wedding day click matches up with the title-track on Lana’s new album.
It’s not often a preview for a music video gains close to 100,000 plays in the space of a day, but this is Lana Del Rey we’re talking about, champion of the hype-spreading clips. In her latest, not an awful lot happens; she poses in a wedding dress; occasionally butterflies swarm round her head; but it’s so unequivocally LDR that it works.
The video’s a long way from the patchwork Tumblr collages she arrived with ‘back in the day’ - this one’s more interested in selfie-celebrating camera angles; plus at one point she licks the finger of the cameraman.
