Låpsley returns with news of fourth album ‘I’M A HURRICANE I’M A WOMAN IN LOVE’
It’ll be her first move as a fully independent artist, to be released via her own label.

Låpsley (the musical moniker of Holly Låpsley Fletcher) has unveiled details of her upcoming fourth album, confirming its release date as 2nd May.
Powerfully entitled ‘I’M A HURRICANE I’M A WOMAN IN LOVE’, it’ll act as a follow-up to 2023’s ‘Cautionary Tales Of Youth’, and will mark the pop stalwart’s first release as a fully independent artist on her own label (the aptly named Her Own Recordings).
Inspired by a period of personal tumult and upheaval - but also the growth that such change inspires - ‘I’M A HURRICANE…”s announcement has been hailed by the arrival of new single ‘BETTER’, a shimmering alt-pop track Låpsley has described as being “about meeting someone that makes you want to change your life”.
Continuing, she explains: “A good partner or friend holds up a mirror in the most beautiful and vulnerable way. My artistry is shape shifting, as my personal life is, for the better.”
‘BETTER’ follows last year’s ‘CHURCH’ to be the second track lifted from the new album, and acts as another teaser of what we can expect from Låpsley’s unapologetic, independent new era. Check it out:
