LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy to release ‘Remixes Made With Tennis Data’
New Yorker serves the collection with ‘Match 176’.
James Murphy teamed up with IBM this year to work on a project that involved transforming data of tennis matches into music. The tracks were created by using a mathematical algorithm to convert the raw data from U.S. Open tennis matches into a series of original tracks and remixes.
The collection is titled ‘Remixes Made With Tennis Data’, and two of the tracks have already been shared this year. The announcement yesterday comes with a snippet of a track called ‘Match 176’, which previews the release of the 12-track album on 19th December.
