Leon Bridges streams ‘Coming Home’ album in full
Texas newcomer’s debut is out next week.
Leon Bridges is streaming his debut album ‘Coming Home’ in full, a week ahead of its 22nd June release on Columbia.
The Fort Worth, Texas newcomer worked with Austin Jenkins and Josh Block of White Denim on this release. After meeting Bridges in a bar, they turned their attention to his first release, which lands less than a year after he unveiled his debut track.
‘Coming Home’ includes the dancehall mood of ‘Smooth Sailin’’, the classic soul balladry of ‘Better Man’ and the moody, subdued ‘Lisa Sawyer’.
It’s streaming in full via NPR’s ‘First Listen’ service, below.
Leon Bridges will play Latitude (16th-19th July) and Citadel (19th July), where DIY is an official media partner. Tickets are on sale now. Visit diymag.com/presents for more information.
