Letlive. banned from Disney House of Blues
The band was scheduled to support Taking Back Sunday at the Florida venue.
Letlive. are set to support Taking Back Sunday on their North American Tour this spring. Kicking off in New Orleans on February 18th, this 32 date run winds its way across the country before finishing things off in Florida on April 4th.
However, in a post on their Facebook page, Letlive. have shared the news that the venue has banned them from playing the penultimate date of the tour.
They say, “Ladies and Gentlemen that were planning on attending the Lake Buena Vista, Florida date at the House Of Blues on the upcoming tour with Taking Back Sunday and The Menzingers and expecting to see ll.- due to reasons we cannot control, we will not be permitted to play said date. We have just been notified by the people at Disney Orlando/HOB that we have been pulled from the event. We cannot offer any details as to why since we were given none ourselves. Rumor has it that Goofy, Pluto, and most of Toontown were in protest against the decision, but Chairman Mouse exercised veto powers and struck down the proposition in the end. In the meantime, we will be trying to set up a one off at another venue in place of this. Thank you so much for the unwavering support. It’s moments like these we deeply appreciate it/you.”
Letlive. have a history of boundary pushing live performances, including powerful sets at this years Reading and Leeds festival, and this isn’t their first run in with the Disney House of Blues. Last year the venue reportedly cut their short last year after singer Jason Butler scaled a balcony.
Letlive. are currently working on a follow up to 2013’s ‘The Blackest Beautiful’ and below you can stream ‘Banshee (Ghost Fame)’ from it.
