Even after a power outage during their set at Leeds Festival, the crowd kept singing.

letlive. are no strangers to provoking carnage at Reading and Leeds and, judging by their set in Leeds back on Friday, their visit this time around has proved no different.

“It was fantastic, man,” assures frontman Jason Butler, ahead of their slot later tonight at Reading 2014. “We had a lot of hectic-ness getting our entire band to Leeds, due to flights and miscommunication, but we got there and we played.” Sadly, they were one of the bands blighted with a power cut, but all was not lost. “The set was fantastic but towards the end, we got cut short because of an alleged power issue, but you know what? The crowd finished the set for us; they kept singing the end of ‘Muther’ so it ended well. It was beautiful and I’ll never forget that.”

As for their festival experiences in general, the five-piece are undoubtedly fans of the event, and are keen to get as down and dirty as the punters themselves. “Honestly, you can ask anyone in the band,” he continues, “and we always say that this is one of our favourite festivals. Playing, obviously, is really rad but we go out and stand in these vast crowds as much as we can.”

And for what’s in store for their slot this evening… “I dunno! Definitely not as much chaos in the way of us not being around to play, but we’re all here. I guess I’d just say you’re gonna feel something. We’re going to try and prompt good feelings.”
