Lightning Bolt return with ‘The Metal East’ track

This March, Lightning Bolt return with ‘Fantasy Empire’, their first album in six years.

It’s being led by ‘The Metal East’, a dagger-sharp reminder of just how brutish this celebrated cult group can go when it comes to gut-wrenching noise rock.

The new album follows on from 2009 LP ‘Earthly Delights’ and 2012 EP ‘Oblivion Hunter’. The Rhode Island duo of Brian Chippendale and Brian Gibson have yet to announce any live dates.

The record’s due out on 24th March via Thrill Jockey. It’s available to pre-order via the label on a limited pressing of 300 2XLP deluxe edition, black-and-white swirl vinyl.
