Listen back to Wolf Alice’s triumphant Radio 1 Maida Vale session
DIY cover stars showcased tracks from their five-star rated ‘Creature Songs’ EP.
After a London Scala gig that cemented them as the best new live band in the country, Wolf Alice last night visited Radio 1’s Maida Vale studio to showcase tracks from the ‘Creature Songs’ EP. Needless to say, they stormed the thing.
Ellie Rowsell and co. played the set as part of Radio 1’s ‘Rocks’ week, with Zane Lowe hosting the band on his evening show.
Alongside ‘Moaning Lisa Smile’, ‘She’, ‘Bros’ and ‘Fluffy’, Wolf Alice ran through a brand new song which doesn’t current have a title. Spanning six minutes and morphing into a colossal, scream-centric beast by its conclusion, they previously showcased the track on Scala, but it sounds even bigger here. As our cover feature explicitly states, this is a band on the up.
Listen to the whole session below. Then repeat.
