Listen: Blood Orange Streams ‘West Drive (Profit Vocal Dub)’, Announces London Show

Earlier this year Phoenix released ‘Bankrupt- 71 Sketches From The Bankrupt Sessions’, a colossal documentation of their most recent album that contained more tracks than the average fan could handle.

71 is mere pittance for Dev Hynes, though. He’s probably kidding, but he’s claiming there are around ‘1 million’ ideas that didn’t make the cut for Blood Orange’s ‘Cupid Deluxe’. He’s unveiled one of them - a proper song, not some crummy sketch - that’s called ‘West Drive (Profit Vocal Dub)’.

The track features vocals from regular guest Samantha Urbani of Friends, linking up ‘Cupid Deluxe”s loved-up intentions with something a little less precise, hence why it didn’t make the full-length.

‘Cupid Deluxe’ is out now on Domino.



Blood Orange has announced a one-off date at London’s Village Underground for 19th February 2014. Tickets are available here from tomorrow (13th December).
