Broken Bells

’ new album - the second collaborative record between The Shins’ James Mercer and super-producer Danger Mouse - now has its lead track: ‘Holding On For Life’.

With ‘After The Disco’ gaining its UK release on 13th January, it’s headed up by a part-gospel, part-old school rock ‘n roll ditty that circuits countless genres, all tied together by a slick-as-hell bassline.

The pair last collaborated on a self-titled 2009 debut via Columbia. That’s the ‘After The Disco’ artwork, right.

‘Holding On For Life’ comes backed with a smoothed out, slow-motion video, plus a new short film for the accompanying album, directed by Jacob Gentry and based on a story put together by Danger Mouse.
