Listen: Danger Mouse & Daniele Luppi - Two Against One (Feat. Jack White)

The song will get a special release for Record Store Day.

On 16th May, Danger Mouse and Daniele Luppi will release a collaborative album called ‘Rome’.

Two of the featured songs - ‘Two Against One (Feat. Jack White)’ and ‘Black (Feat. Norah Jones)’ - will be available digitally from 10th April, and later released as a limited edition 7” single as part of Record Store Day.

Both of them you can listen to now using the players below.

‘Rome’ took five years to complete, with Brian Burton (aka Danger Mouse) and Italian composer Luppi meeting in Los Angeles in 2004. Much of it was created in the city of the same name’s Forum Studios, where the duo aimed to replicate the recording practices of the 1960s - 70s.

“The studio was a beautiful thing,” says Luppi. “It sits underneath a neo-classical church and is carved out of an ancient catacomb. The space is huge. It has an echo chamber and a room full of vintage tapes. The vibe is really inspiring.”
