Listen: Deftones Perform New Track ‘Rosemary’

Allegedly due for release on the 9th October, their next album will be band’s seventh full-length.

There’s a good healthy buzz around the next offering from Deftones and we’re excited to be able to say that there seems to be a new track in the world.

That’s right! The Sacramento band have performed a new track entitled ‘Rosemary’, which apparently comes from their next album.

Allegedly due for release on the 9th October, the album will be band’s seventh full-length and has come about quickly, after the band just entered the studio earlier this month.

Explaining why they’ve chosen to release the new album so quickly (via Billboard) frontman Chino Moreno made the following statement: “With our last record we did it in a really short, good amount of time, probably four or five months from the time we started writing until we finished it. For us, that was record time, so this time the idea was, ‘Let’s go in and start a record on this date and let’s try to be finished by summertime and keep this work ethic we kind of stumbled upon on the last one,’ and we did.”

Deftones last played in the UK when they performed at Reading & Leeds Festival last year.
