Listen: Douglas Dare Previews New Album With ‘Swim’
Erased Tapes release Douglas Dare’s debut in May, containing this beautiful new track.
From the moment he titled his album ‘Whelm’, Douglas Dare could do no wrong. Building on that name, his intention’s clearly been to overwhelm, with the senses being drowned out in particular by a new song, ‘Swim’.
Taken from a release on Erased Tapes, the track employs piano lines not dissimilar to fellow ET alumni Nils Frahm’s, combined with shockwave electronic percussion. These bursts of energy come like vicious jolts, beauty being given a rude wake-up call.
