John Pena’s Heavenly Beat project has shared its first material from a second album. ‘Complete”s funk-led glaze heads up the new ‘Prominence’ record, due out on Captured Tracks.

Steel pans and a Memory Tapes-tied sense of escape are the main ingredients here, though there’s room left for a disco-ready guitar line that might’ve squeezed its way into Daft Punk’s ‘Random Access Memories’ given the opportunity,

Pena releases his new album via Captured Tracks on 20th October.
