Listen: Kelis Streams New Single ‘Rumble’
Minimal piano ditty features on Kelis’ new ‘Food’ album.
is streaming one of the non-tasty treat related songs on her ‘Food’ record, out 22nd April through Ninja Tune.
‘Rumble’ is a jerky piano number, packing an unorthodox but sweeping chorus that follows on from shifting arrangements and stop-start percussion. Then comes a triumphant horn section and bam, it starts to hit a groove before running into an abrupt ending pre-3 minutes.
The new track joins up with ‘Jerk Ribs’, which recently picked up a Mount Kimbie remix.
