Listen: Kiran Leonard Streams New ‘Port-Ainé’ Track

Multi-instrumented eccentric Kiran Leonard has made over half a dozen albums. His teenager’s bedroom (yep, he’s still a young’un) is likely covered in cassettes, strewn lyrics and oddball instruments. His debut ‘proper’ (as in the first one that people are paying serious notice to) is called ‘Bowler Hat Soup’ - it’s released on 4th November via Hand of Glory.

‘Port-Ainé”s love for ‘de la mer’ is a bright sign of where his new album’s headed. With the kind of plucked strings and commanding vocals you’d tend to associate with an Andrew Bird record, this is pretty straightforward, as far as Leonard goes. Probably his most immediate track to date.
