Listen: No Joy Stream ‘Second Spine’ Track
Shoegaze intentions are set to one side in a track from No Joy’s ‘Pastel and Pass Out’ EP.
Mexican Summer-signed shoegazers No Joy are currently enjoying a run through the UK, touring alongside Brighton’s Fear of Men.
They’re also releasing a new EP, to back up this year’s underrated ‘Wait to Pleasure’ LP. ‘Pastel and Pass Out’ is out now, available here. You can preview a new track from the release in the form of the serene, atmospheric ‘Second Spine’.
Distinct to previously track ‘Last Boss’, the song stays true to its title by showcasing a dynamism that few bands dream of sporting. Out with the muscular shoegaze and in with something graceful, more layered; this is the new No Joy, peeping through the trees.
