Listen: School Of Language Shares New ‘Dress Up’ Track

David Brewis gets down with the funk on a surprising turn from his ‘Old Fears’ album.

Has David Brewis gone funky? That’s the indication given by ‘Dress Up’, a new hot-fused, sure-footed track from the Newcastle-based musician’s ‘Old Fears’ album.

This new song joins up with ‘Between the Suburbs’, a more resolutely miserable song coated in smart instrumentation.

‘Dress Up’ contains disco guitar lines, cowbell, falsetto. He’s taken very seriously, is School of Language, but this new song shows a brilliant alter-ego.

‘Old Fears’ is released via Memphis Industries on 7th April. Pre-order the album through Field Music’s website.
