First album in 16 years comes out 14th April via Sub Pop.
It’s the moment The Afghan Whigs fans have been anticipating for 16 solid years. Except, in those days we didn’t have Soundcloud players. Or the internet, really. Definitely not exclusives or premieres and most certainly not tweets pointing you to the very fact that an album is streaming, through speakers worldwide, via the world wide web.
But it’s happening. ‘Do to the Beast’ (out next week via Sub Pop), is the Afghan Whigs’ returning effort, following a decade and a half of recorded music hiatus. The album includes ‘The Lottery’ and ‘Algiers’, plus further fizzing cuts that rejuvenate a band on their returning streak.
