The Afghan Whigs reveal video for ‘The Lottery’

After releasing their first album in 16 years last year - April’s ‘Do To The Beast’ - The Afghan Whigs have unveiled a video for one of the songs featured on the record, ‘The Lottery’.

The video is being shared ahead of a European tour, which calls at Dublin, Edinburgh and London next month.

The video was self-directed, filmed while on tour, and features the band’s monitor engineer, Ryan O’Hara.

“Meet Ryan O’Hara, our monitor engineer,” says the band’s Greg Dulli. “He wakes up every day with a smile on his face and something positive to share with you. Every night during the gig he performs a parallel show behind the board and it’s phenomenal to watch. Occasionally, I’ll forget to sing because I’m watching him turn into Bez from Happy Mondays. But that’s rock and roll for you. It keeps you young.”
