Listen: The Creases Sign To Rough Trade, Announce Debut Single

are a band who spend their time finding the perfect recipe for a pasta sauce (see the supermarket-centric photo, right, for reference) and making ramshackle tunes like ‘I Won’t Wait’, which forms a part of the pair’s debut single on Rough Trade.

Joe Agius and Jarrod Mahon are based out in Brisbane, Australia. Managed by the same guys who look after DZ Deathrays, apparently they’ve only been together a couple of months, although this charming video originates from April 2013 (we think this is them performing as another band, Babaganouj), currently playing live alongside Aimon Clark and Bridie McQueenie, on drums. They’re set to play an Aussie tour with Jungle Giants, with UK dates forthcoming.
