Listen: The xx Unveil Five Brand New Songs

Last week, The xx played a handful of very intimate shows, during which they debuted some new material. Now, as pointed out by Pretty Much Amazing (and then highlighted by Consequence of Sound, you can hear all five of their new tracks on Youtube.

You can now hear all of the tracks, as recorded live at the shows - ‘Closer’, ‘Devotion’, ‘Leave’, ‘Strangers’ and ‘Fiction’ - below.

In other The xx news, it seems as though the band’s second album has apparently reached the mixing stages.

According to a tweet from their debut’s producer Rodaidh McDonald, FACT magazine believe him to have confirmed that the record is nearing its final stages. However, the tweet in question has now been deleted.
