Little Simz shares details of new EP ‘Sugar Girl’
Details are scarce, but the rapper’s next project will drop next Friday 8th May.

Less than a year on from the release of critically acclaimed sixth album, Little Simz has returned with the news that she’ll drop a brand new project next week.
The North Londoner will follow up her 2025 LP ‘Lotus’ - which landed back in June 2025 - with a new EP titled ‘Sugar Girl’. Breaking the news via her social media platforms, the rapper shared a powerful, black-and-white clip by way of introduction, confirming its release date as next Friday 8th May.
‘Sugar Girl’ will land ahead of her upcoming summer of festival appearances - including slots at Cross The Tracks, Primavera Sound and Forwards - as well this year’s Ivor Novello Awards, for which she is nominated for Best Contemporary Song, for ‘Free’.
Aside from that, details about the EP are still scarce, but judging from the evocative clip, it’s going to be an explosive listen. Check out the trailer below.
