Liverpool Sound City: Years & Years Look Ahead To Playing New Material

Today sees the commencing of Liverpool Sound City, a new music extravaganza running from 1st-3rd May at various venues across the city.

One of the freshest faces on the bill is Years & Years, a London trio who went big with ‘Real’, a recent single on Kitsuné that eventually led to them signing a major label deal. For a lot of people, this’ll be the first time they get to check out these future chart-botherers.

Olly Alexander from the band is looking forward to making an appearance. ‘We’re performing some new material and our set up has changed a bit so we’re making some last minute tweaks to make sure nothing goes catastrophically wrong,’ he says, speaking to DIY.

‘We’re also performing a cover for the first time so we’re pretty intrigued to see how that goes down…’
