Lola Young returns with James Blake-produced new single ‘From Down Here’
The single doubles as her first new music since the release of last year’s ‘I’m Only Fucking Myself’.

GRAMMY, BRIT and Ivor Novello winner Lola Young has returned with a brand new single, ‘From Down Here’, that was written after a collaboration with James Blake earlier this year.
The soaring, bittersweet track doubles as her first new music since the release of her third album - ‘I’m Only Fucking Myself’ - last year, and lands ahead of her upcoming UK headline tour of the UK, which begins next month. “The day after the GRAMMYs, I had a wave of inspiration hit me, so I got in the studio with the incredible James Blake and made this song,” Lola has said of the track, “I am rewriting the next chapter of my story because what a boring book the old one would’ve been anyway.”
The release of her new single follows on from her recent string of award wins and last year’s show cancellations, after she collapsed at All Things Go festival last year. She has since returned to the stage for a handful of live performances, including an appearance at this weekend’s Radio 1 Big Weekend in Sunderland.
