Hey now
London Grammar’s new video encourages you to see the ‘Big Picture’
The clip for their latest sweeping single is very cinematic indeed.
After returning with ‘Rooting For You’ London Grammar are now asking us to see the ‘Big Picture’ with their new single.
Produced by Jon Hopkins, the new single once again focuses mainly on the vocals of Hannah Reid, backed by a few light synths and guitars. It eventually builds up into a sweeping climax where Hannah’s haunting voice drifts over beats and the constantly reverberating riffs.
‘Big Picture’ sounds like it’d be at home resting in the soundtrack to a powerful Oscar-worthy drama, so of course the video is a pretty cinematic experience. It’s been directed by Sophie Muller, who’s worked with Beyoncé and Coldplay in the past. In it, the band focus on the wonders of the universe, performing against a variety of stunning backdrops filled with colour, including the wilderness at night and even space. Well, there was never any doubt that London Grammar might go stratospheric someday…
