Lonely The Brave reveal new track ‘River, River’

The track marks their first new material since the release of their debut album ‘The Day’s War’.

Lonely The Brave have unveiled a brand new track titled ‘River, River’.

Marking their first new material since the release of their debut album ‘The Day’s War’ in the middle of last year, the track was debuted as this evening’s Hottest Record in the World by Huw Stephens, who was filling in for Annie Mac during her BBC Radio 1 slot.

The track gets taken from the band’s forthcoming album re-release, ‘The Day’s War: Victory Edition’, which is set to be a double-disc offering, containing the original full album while boasting twelve as-yet-unreleased songs, including four completely new tracks.

It’s due for release on 1st June and is available for pre-order (with a free download of ‘Backroads (Redux)’ available when purchased) now.

Speaking of ‘River, River’, the band have said: “‘River, River’ was the first song we wrote after we finished the ‘The Day’s War’. We’ve been playing it live for a good while and have been asked a lot by fans when we would release it. Although we’re working on our second record at the moment we wanted to get something new out there as quickly as possible.”

The band will also be heading out on the road next month alongside Twin Atlantic, before playing a headline show at The Tabernacle in London in June.
