The ultimate?
Lorde & Haim team up with Q-Tip & Pusha T for ‘Meltdown’
Another cut from the Lorde-curated soundtrack for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Pt. I has hit the net.
Ever wondered what the most wonderfully weird combination of artists might be for one track? Well, the latest song to be taken from the soundtrack for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Pt. I might have presented an answer for that conundrum: Lorde, Haim, Q-Tip and Pusha T have all teamed up with Stromae for a new offering.
‘Meltdown’ does exactly what it says on the tin: it’s a melting pot of funk and rap, all juxtaposed by the darkly intense vocals of Lorde and some tinkling on the piano, before Haim join in at the end, just for fun.
The super-track comes from the Lorde-curated soundtrack, which has also offered up Lorde’s own ‘Yellow Flicker Beat’ and its accompanying remix by none other than Kanye West, as well as CHVRCHES’ contribution ‘Dead Air’.
Listen to ‘Meltdown’ below and check out the full tracklisting for the soundtrack while you’re at it.
