Lorde officially confirms new album ‘Virgin’
Her first LP in four years will land on 27th June.

Lorde has well and truly returned, having just shared the news that her much-anticipated fourth album will be released on 27th June.
The record will act as a follow up to her 2021 effort ‘Solar Power’, and has been introduced via last week’s lead single ‘What Was That’ - a glitch-pop cut that points to an intriguing new sonic chapter, characterised by rough-edged production and immediate, unambiguous lyricism.
Taking to Instagram to share the track’s official video, Lorde wrote: “As little between us as possible. Aliveness over prowess. Naivety over disenchantment. I LOVE YOU WE START HERE.”
The full tracklist for ‘Virgin’ is yet to be revealed, but you can check out said visualiser - which sees the New Zealand star treat unsuspecting New Yorkers to a surprise performance in Washington Square Park - below.
