Low Island blur ‘The Lines’ on their new track

The Oxford genre-benders are gearing up to release their new EP.

After unveiling ‘That Kind Of Love’ in June, Oxford band Low Island are continuing to surge ahead and build up to the release of their new EP with their new track.

On ‘The Lines’, Low Island are continuing to refuse to be pigeonholed into any one genre. This time, they’ve created a moody slice of electronica that’s poppy, but with classic house elements that might make you bounce.

The band’s vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Jamie said: “There have always been people who want to define the world with dividing lines,” says the band’s co-vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Jamie. “The song is from the perspective of these people, who feel threatened by those on the other side of the line. If you listen very carefully in the middle of the song, you might hear their voices”.

Low Island are also set to go on a big old tour starting from October, which includes some “Low Island & Friends” shows too. Kicking off at Middlesbrough’s Twisterella Festival, they’ll also be off to Glasgow, Leeds, Oxford, Bristol, and more. Tickets are on sale now.
