Lucia & The Best Boys share new song ‘Burning Castles’
It’s the title track of her forthcoming debut album, which lands next month.
Lucia & The Best Boys has today unveiled a new song, ‘Burning Castles’. The title track of her upcoming debut album (out on 29th September via Communion), it was one of the first songs to fall into place and one which has particular significance for Lucia.
“I wrote ‘Burning Castles’ about the onslaught of emotions that your body goes through when you receive bad news; that sudden and overwhelming weight that bears down on you when the news hits you”, she explains. “I love making something sound soft and graceful when the meaning and the experience that I’m writing about is pretty much the opposite. I think that it always manages to capture the way that I really feel in a way that makes sense to me.”
Lucia & The Best Boys will perform for the first time at Reading & Leeds Festival later this month on the BBC Introducing Stage, after which she’s heading out on tour of the UK for a series of in-stores and shows. Check out the full list of dates below, and get tickets here.
