Lykke Li To Release New Album In May
Swedish artist states I’ve found my voice,” about the follow-up to ‘Wounded Rhymes’.”

relative silence since the release of ‘Wounded Rhymes’ in 2011 has only made its follow-up even more anticipated. The Swedish pop musician hasn’t been completely out of the spotlight - she recently appeared in David Lynch’s ‘The Big Dream’ and she’s making her acting debut in the Swedish crime drama ‘Tommy’, out in March - but word’s finally reached of a new, third album.
Speaking to NME, the 27-year-old cites this record to be the final in a trilogy that started with debut ‘Youth Novels’. The album’s tentatively prepped for a May 2014 release.
‘It’s always about me and the guilt and the shame and the hurt and the pride and the confusion of being a woman,’ she stated about the record. ‘I always feel like I’ve been slightly misunderstood. As a woman you get judged for appearances or things like that I don’t really care about. If anything I want to be seen as a singer-songwriter rather than a pop artist. I really feel like I’ve found my voice.’
