Mac DeMarco announces brand new album ‘Guitar’ and shares chilled single ‘Home’ 

Mac’s forthcoming record, ‘Guitar’ was apparently all recorded in November 2024 at his home in LA. The singer handled every aspect of the making of the record (including the visuals which were self-shot using tripods) - except the mastering, which was done by David Ives. 

The new record marks his first release since his 2023 instrumental album ‘Five Easy Hot Dogs’, which was recorded along the road from Los Angeles to New York City. 

“I think ‘Guitar’ is as close to a true representation of where I’m at in my life today as I can manage to put to paper,” he says on the new record. “I’m happy to share this music, and look forward to playing these songs as many places as I’m able.”

Alongside the announcement of the new single and record, Mac has announced a run of worldwide and UK tour dates, including a stop at London’s Eventim Apollo on 10th November.
