Magdalena Bay treat us to ‘Human Happens’ / ‘Paint Me A Picture’ double track drop
These new releases together act as “a spiritual successor” to their 2024 LP ‘Imaginal Disk’.

Having returned last month with their celestial double single ‘Second Sleep’ / ‘Star Eyes’, Magdalena Bay have now shared a second pair of brand new tracks.
Continuing in the same mystic vein, latest offerings ‘Human Happens’ and ‘Paint Me A Picture’ expand the duo’s ever-intriguing sonic world, the former a shimmering, metamorphic slice of progressive pop-rock, the latter a soundscape of spectral synths and cantering drums.
“Here’s another pair of songs that complement each other,” the band have said simply. “Different than the last, different than the next.”
Together, these four recent cuts act as a pseudo-follow-up to last year’s ‘Imaginal Disk’ - Magdalena Bay’s second album, and the record which saw them break through as one of 2024’s most acclaimed artists.
