Oh my god
Mark Ronson reveals ‘Uptown Special’ tracklisting
Stevie Wonder is set to guest on two tracks, along with a host of other new names revealed by Ronson on Instagram.
After seeing ‘Uptown Funk’ bag Mark Ronson his first ever UK Number 1 at the weekend, the producer has shared the full tracklisting for his upcoming album ‘Uptown Special’ via Instagram, due for release in January 2015.
Stevie Wonder is the latest massive name to be added to ‘Uptown Special’ collective, offering his hand on the opening and closing tracks. Many of the artists featured on the new record were already known but the extent of their collaboration has now been shared. Bruno Mars’ only contribution is on ‘Uptown Funk’, whilst Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker and Miike Snow’s Andrew Wyatt feature most prominently appearing on three tracks each.
Producer and songwriter Jeff Bhasker, who’s worked with Kanye, Jay-Z and Drake to name a few, is also a new name credited on two tracks whilst other production and writing credits don’t appear to have been shared. It has been widely reported that Hudson Mohawke, DJ Zinc and Simian Mobile Disco’s James Ford were all included on ‘Uptown Special’. Similarly Michael Chabon, the Pulitzer winning novelist who wrote lyrics for around half the tracks on the album, isn’t credited on the Instagram post.
