Booooo
Mark Ronson’s not actually on Lana Del Rey’s new album after all
He “hates to crap all over your excitement”, apparently.
Despite hinting fairly heavily earlier in the year that he’d be appearing on Lana Del Rey’s new album ‘Honeymoon’, Mark Ronson has now admitted that he won’t play a part in ‘Honeymoon’ after all.
In case you’ve forgotten, in an interview with, er, Interview earlier this year, Ronson stated, “I’m going to do some recording with Lana Del Rey today and tomorrow. I found this cool old studio out here [in Los Angeles]. She has some songs and I said I had some demo ideas, and if they are any good, then maybe she’ll like them and we’ll go from there.”
Maybe she didn’t like them after all, though, as in a new chat with Digital Spy, the producer extraordinaire has cleared things up a little.
“”I hate to crap all over your excitement, but we just worked a couple [of] days together and I think she’s amazing, but we didn’t actually end up doing anything for her album,” he says. “I said it and I shouldn’t have opened my big mouth, but I love that track ‘Honeymoon’ and the stuff I’ve heard from the record is great.”
Don’t be so hard on yourself, Mark. Maybe next time.
