Metallica set The Late Late Show ringing with ‘For Whom The Bells Toll’
Band roll out the infamous track on day three of their residency.
Bringing out one of their biggest and most reliable musical guns, Metallica tackled the ‘hump day’ of their The Late Late Show residency with menacing prowess.
The band, having already played ‘Fuel’ and ‘Hit The Lights’ earlier in the week, put in a swaggering performance of ‘For Whom The Bells Toll’. Taken from 1984’s ‘Ride The Lightning’, ‘For Whom The Bells Toll’ is one of Metallica’s stand-out classics, having been played live over 1300 times by the band.
With two more nights of the residency left, in honour of Craig Ferguson’s impending departure, and thirty-three years of history to get through, who knows what tonight heralds.
You can watch the performance, which includes a selection of excellent expressions and an exasperated Lars, below.
