Michael Kiwanuka Tops BBC Sound Of 2012 Poll
Michael Kiwanuka has been announced as the winner of this year’s Sound of 2012 poll.

Michael Kiwanuka has been announced as the winner of this year’s Sound of 2012 poll.
The top five of the BBC’s run down, selected by a panel of music industry tastemakers, also includes Frank Ocean, Azealia Banks, Skrillex and Niki & The Dove.
Kiwanuka, who has already toured with Adele and Laura Marling, follows previous winners including Jessie J, Ellie Goulding and Keane. He’s the first male solo artist to win since 2007’s Mika.
Speaking to the BBC, Kiwanuka commented: ‘It’s a great surprise and it means a lot that people are accepting the music they’ve heard so far, and it will bring the music to many more people, which for any musician is a great privilege.’
